For those of you that want in on The Comic Wars, there is still room in the second PvPOnline guild. Panda Attack is full on up, to be sure. But Djork is still taking members. They have 100+ people right now, but are happy to fill to capacity. And I have to say, 95% of these people are already good players. Sure there's the odd person who is either new to the game or just not very skilled, but it's rare. And there are no "flaming turdwads" despite the size of the guilds, which astounds me to this day.
Enrollment Figures (broken down by class and level):
Panda Attack
Djork
Don't worry about being in Djork instead of Panda Attack. We all run on a common guild chat, and we all do instances and raids together as one group. At any rate, if you want to get in on all this hot Djork action, you'll need to roll yourself a Horde character on Dark Iron. I don't know what their minimum level to join is, but I suspect that once you've dinged 10, you'll be good to go. Hell, I did that in 2 hours with my Druid (lowest DPS in the game, so it can't be that hard to do). Once you've hit level 10, send a whisper to one of the Officers (listed on the Djork roster).
I know some very good WoW players read my journal, so hopefully I will see some of you online. I'm Krezihk, incidentally, so do say hi!
Oh yeah, and it would be a good idea to know who Scott Kurtz is, as well as to be very familiar with PvP Online. I know most of my video game friends already know PvP quite well, but I'm just pointing out that one of the qualifiers for joining Panda Attack or Djork is that you dig PvP (the comic, not the playstyle, although you'd better be damn well ready for both).

My buddy played for all of like 2 months, and quit. I really couldn't stand the name. Not to mention I honestly was already biased against it because Blizzard not only canned half the original dev team, but canned all the cool shit like griefing, which the OLD Dev Team didn't care about.
But all for the sake of money from whiney bitches coming from EQ, CoH and the like, PVP, greifing, and several other FUN elemtns were insta-nerfed. I'm not talking dickhead greifing like training mobs over newbies.
No, greifing in the fun way. Explosion potions surrounding some high-level guy that is holding some uber gear.
Oh, and there's another thing... I HATE twinking. And tell me WoW has not become a twinkfest. I abhor "OMG i need teh 1337 uber lewt LOLZ" mentality of those games, and playing it only strengthened that hatred. The entire time I was in newbie land, as a nebiw mind you, I had kiddies running and asking ME to powerlevel them, or give them money, gear, etc etc.
WTF? Thus, I stick to games like PlanetSide, or maybe EVE Online. EVE, sadly enough is a twinkfest/camper's wet dream. I hate that a random pirate can instantly (off the getgo from newbie land) rob you for all your money (Isk) and then decide whether or not to have you rolling a new char up.
Anyway, I digress. Yes, I played WoW, and pretty much, it wasn't even half of what it was hyped to be, which I figured anyway.

But again, this is all objective, but I've played all the other MMO's, even planetside, Eve, SWG, FFXI, DAoC, AC, AC2, etc and so forth man. The only one I have not played is the Matrix to this date.
I doubt you will, but if you put 24 hours exactly into getting to level 20 with a character, I think you'll enjoy it more then previously.

The biggest thing I really have against WoW, EQ2, etc etc, is what my friend Steve said, "Leveling for the sake of leveling, or waiting 2 hours in a que for 8 minutes of battleground PVP games". Where's the Faction PVP that was SUPPOSED to be serverwide? Now "bad" guys can't even go into the "good" guys can't even go into towns and kill the bankers, making the good guys' days a living hell.
But it doesn't go just for WoW, that's any MMO. I've been spoiled you could say by consistent, non-consentual PVP. I'll be in a tower on some far off continent in PlanetSide, and fighting a few friends. After a while, the Instant Actioners and other idiots start showing up and ruining the fight. Just the way the game works. In RPGs like EQ2 and WoW, I don't even get the little fight off on some distand land. I have to duel someone. Whoopidy-do!
I'm not bashing anyone for playing, do what pleases you. But I honestly, at the same time, can't understand how so many people (which is rapidly dwindling) could still pay for a game that out-and-out lied and falsely advertised to them. For over a year!
Nad to the Matrix Online, have you seend the Control+Alt+Delete comic on it? Yeah, sums it up. "OMGZ I r teh One!!!LOLZ!" Not to mention it's buggy, laggy, and generally boring. I wouldn't bother. I played that one for all of ten minutes before flipping my computer off in anger. Pure, pure anger. The kind that would make Vader shit himself in fear. :P

Shard Tracer: This addon manages your shards, lets you set one bag to hold all of your shards, and provides hotbuttons that you can put anywhere on the screen to make all of your stones, perform all of your summons, and call forth your mount. It also gives you warnings for abilities and causes the healthstone button to grow in size as you take more and more damage (making it easier to hit in a panic). You need this. Badly.
Servitude: Think of the dumbest MMO player you have ever had the misfortune of being in a group with. Think L12 WAR/WHM in the Valrkum Dunes. Now make him dumber. That's what your pets are like. Servitude stops them from being utterly stupid, and manages their skills as so not to screw you over. It also can tell them to conserve mana for vital skills, and give your Felhunter orders on who to decurse in the party first.
Smart Pet: This is primarily a Hunter tool, but as I have a Hunter it was already installed for me. And it wound up being extremely valuable. It supports Warlock pets (in a limited fashion). It will stop your pet from running after a fleeing, feared, or low-health enemy. The number one cause of Warlock and Hunter death is aggro due to a running pet. I won't instance with a Hunter or Warlock without a mod like this. Period.
Count Doom: This one is not mandatory, but is very handy. It essentially hits a counter whenever you enslave a demon (such as both of your endgame pets) and gives you some idea of when that enslave with break. You won't need it for a while, but it does make managing enslaved pets much easier. When you get to Desolace, enslaving demons will be the most entertaining thing you've ever done in WoW, and you will want this mod.

However, I have downloaded the others and if I feel I am missing something (or someone points it out) in my warlock play, I'll switch over and see what that is like.

I could see you playing his face double. Just think about it... You could be the guy that actually gets hit in the face in some movie of his.
I suppose he could also play your face double, but I am thinking it's less useful in tech support.
